Faith in Education
Welcome to the Newman Catholic Schools website!
Our Mission Statement
Newman Catholic Schools provide excellence in education in a Catholic environment and enhance the personal and spiritual growth of our students to meet life's challenges.
A Ministry Rich in Education
Our Catholic Schools stand by a set of guiding beliefs that are used to fulfill our educational mission. We want our schools to be places where:
there is a commitment to a collegial and collaborative working relationship among all those involved in the operation and governance of the schools.
academic excellence and high expectations are encouraged and supported among teachers and students.
we are conscious of the influence we have on young people and use this influence to help them become confident.
students, parents and teachers experience a community that fosters a strong sense of religious commitment.
there is a personal approach to each student.
God has created me to do him some definite service
He has committed some work to me which He has not committed to another
I HAVE MY MISSION
I may never know it in this life But I shall be told it in the next
I AM A LINK IN A CHAIN
A bond of connection between persons
He has not created me for naught
I shall do good -- I shall do His work
Prayer excerpt by John Henry Cardinal Newman
